The interesting thing was, the line was sorta short, but the line for the actual show was a mile long! they said the doors will be open at 7, but they made us wait for a couple of hours b4 the doors even opened. very lame, IMO > when we finally got inside, we saw trent on the balcony and realized that every time we looked over at him, he hid. maybe it had to do smth with Regina's suggestion of 'point at him and laugh', which i carried out. heh, talk about no life -- we were trying to scare trent!

i really liked the first few songs Meat Beat Manifesto did, which were more techno-ish, but then they started getting more industrial and it got a bit boring. i've never actually heard them, but a friend of mine has and he says that they are indeed better at the techno-ish sound.

on next was manson--ok, about new guitarist. he looked GOTH. well, they all came out covered in smth white, like powder or smth, but he looked like this stuff really belongs on his face, if you know what i mean. maybe i'm a little subjective, cuz i wanted Steve to get the job..after the show, he was surrounded by a few goth groupies at the bar and in view of how the show went we were very tempted to come up and ask 'so, how did you like yr first and last show with mm." as far as his playing was concerned, i'm not a musician, but the sound was good, IMO

as for Pogo's hair looking silly? that's a mild way of putting it! it's sorta bleached, as well as the goatee, and it's extremely messed up and very weird. that and the goggles and the fact that he had one of those hand-held keyboards made him look like he was in the cheesiest 80's band around! i didn't even recognize him. i thought it was someone else.

manson looked like he was wearing a back brace, like the ones ppl with back injuries wear. i think he had a ripped stocking on one arm, knee-high boots with buckles in the back, and some white g-string type thingy, which left very little to imagination. as i said, all of them were covered in white powder, with black (i think) eye make-up.

i was being pushed from all sides, the crowd was really bad, but i couldn't take my eyes away from him. i think (or am i dilusional) that he noticed and rewarded me with an extra-long eye contact. it probably was easy to notice, since i was just standing there in the middle of moshing crowd, staring. my memory of the ginger incident differs from Regina's. i think twig spazzed out and hit the drums with the bass. the rev got pissed and threw a mic stand. then i had to pay attention to that cunt on my back...i heard the place grow quiet and then the crowd just went 'oooooh!' and moved forward and i saw ginger lying on the stage, apparently unconscious. the paramedics came RUNNING. the security started clearing out the area near the front of the stage, apparently because they were planning to carry him out on the stretcher and the backstage area was too narrow. the rest went exactly how Regina described it. except one thing i have to add. my new opinion of the rev. and twig: what DORKS! and i don't mean it in a nice way. you just don't do that kind of thing! i won't be surprised if ginger leaves. the scary part is, i think the rev really thinks he's the antichrist now! and the crowd does seem to worship him. i'm more than mildly upsed about what happened.
there were some really BAD vibes in the crowd. they were doing the whole voucher thing in hopes that only the fans would be able to get in, but it backfired in a bad way. i'm not the one to talk about 'sweet dreamers' and 'poseurs', but something was very wrong with the crowd, i can't quite put my finger on it. and i think trent realized it too, because when he got to the 'in this place it seems like such a shame/though it all looks different now i know its still the same/everywhere i look you're all i see/just a same old fucking reminder of who i used to be' he screamed the words out and they sounded so to the point and so true of the whole atmosphere of the place, it was creepy.

it was very strange. i'm not saying the show was bad, it wasn't. all the bands were great, but smth was terribly wrong, it felt wrong. it's not about 'sweet dreamers' or any such bullshit, but smth was wrong with the crowd. the vibes in the place were so violent! not even the usual mosh pit cartoon violence, where no one actually wants to hurt someone else. it was very different and very hard to explain...
