The OKC show....
It was truly a thing of beauty. It was MM/Clutch and some local band
that I can't remember the name. Anyway, it was held in the Will Rogers
Center which is a better name for a really old, slightly run-down
movie theater. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it was an
all ages show. I mean, it's great that kiddies of all ages could be
there, but it's Oklahoma, and there is a list a mile long of things you
just can't do at an all ages show in Oklahoma. It was general admission
and I was about the tenth person in the door. My friends and I got
there about two hours early and just walked right in. The backdrop for
MM was this huge ouija board...it was beautiful. We went back outside
and sat around for awhile. I'm sad to report that there was no sign of
MM outside (I wouldn't want to go outside in Oklahoma either if I didn't
have to) but we did get to greet Clutch. MM was so great. They left
and then came back for 3 songs, one of which was Sweet Dreams are made
of these....everybody sang along. I loved getting spit on by the
reverend. Twiggy was beautiful in his little orphan annie dress. His
hair was in a ponytail on top of his head and he had used one of those
candy necklaces as the ponytail holder. He (Manson) did try to cut his stomach
with a broken bottle, but it wouldn't cut. My friends and I got a lot
of bruises and I love every one. It was a really great show. I hope
you get to see it soon. I'm still longing for the new CD.
