well, first i'm back fer a short while... haven't been here (my apt) for a
week!... and so much has transpired in that time... got to meet Mr. Manson
twice (along with the rest of the band) and see 3 shows before the official
ACS release... then there was the show tonight...
hmmm... what an interesting show. very different from the 1st three i saw
last week... The Rev has really changed some of his onstage remarks... maybe
cuz ACS is finally out? tho the setlist was the same... after the show Zim
Zum (still my *new* 2nd fave member after Mr. Manson) said that after this
1st leg of the tour is complete (whenever that is) they plan on changing the
setlist... adding more tunes from ACS and mixing up the older material
including adding Down In The Park to the show!
they did do the *entire* stage show... (see chicken killer's K-zoo review)...
i believe this is the first time since that show that they've done the *full*
show w/all the props. but they were having MAJOR problems with their monitors
& equipment... they were using cords & cables to hook everything up instead
of being *wireless*... prolly cuz they were near the airport? but this
caused some problems...
NY Loose experienced them first having a terrible performance... then when
Manson came out, the Rev was clearly expressing his problems with the
monitors... then mid way through the show Twiggy threw his bass half way
across the stage and walked off... finally got his bass going again... it was
a weird scene.
the Rev was *really* into the tunes tonight... more so than usual. i thought
he was gonna cry during the reprise of The Reflecting God. i noticed he also
wasn't doing his typical "eye-lock" stares as much... but rather he was rilly
into the tunes... extremely emotional. i was right in front on the gate so i
was able to observe all this very clearly...
and Zim Zum was totally having fun... smiling & pointing to friends... almost
upstaging the Rev's *dramatic* moments... the way ZZ was carrying on had me a
little worried... after the show he bolted with a couple of female companions
leaving the rest of the band behind...
the crowd was horrible, IMO. the local hired security was awful too...
easily the worst in both cases of the 4 shows i've seen on this tour so
far...
