Just got in from Philly, the first show of this tour that the Planetcom crew made it to and it was an odd one. From the beginning things just didn't seem quite right and the intensity was lacking - they had sound problems & Manson pretty much destroyed the first mike which was fortunately replaced by one that worked better. But towards the end they just went "fuck it" & when I saw the mike stand fly into the drum kit I knew that was the end - show aborted early tho the crowd and club didn't realize it for a good ten minutes & stayed firmly put & were rather unhappy when it dawned on them that Manson wouldn't be coming back...

A lot of WEIRD energies floating in there - folks seem convinced that he's gonna kill himself tonight (where the fuck did that rumor start anyway?) The gal beside us kept insisting that "some gal she knows talks to Manson every day & he told her he was going to blow up the whole building". Ya know, I've never seen ANY band get so many weird rumors to them! On the ride home we stopped at a Dennys & the checkout clerk saw our shirts and said "how was the show? I tried to get tickets but it was sold out. I heard he was gonna kill himself" WAAAAH!!!! I can't deal with all these gullible people dealing with idiotic rumors!

Ya know, I'm just as happy that I'm NOT going to Asbury Park tonight because I wouldn't want to be around all these bloodhungry pseudofans!!! I don't think I could deal with the vibe.

On the upside, I had fun talking to lots of friends & penpals, finally got to meet drunkfux after writing to him for like a year and a half & he was very very cool... Thought NY Loose were OK & anybody who covers the Misfits gets a plus in my book! (that makes two bands in a week for me since the Genitorturers did "All Hell Breaks Loose" last Friday at the 9:30)

I liked what I saw of the sets & special effects for the show tho I'm told we missed out on a lot at the end - hopefully the shows next week will go better (assuming of course he rises from the dead OK - ROTFL!!!) Glad I'm going to more!
