Well, it seems that every other SpookyKid in the world is getting lucky enough to talk to them these days, so I guess it's my turn. :)

Dead Soul (who had come all the way from Edmonton to see this show!) was obsessed about meeting the band before the set, so my friend and I had to go meet him at the Warehouse (the shitty venue they played) at like 3 in the afternoon. Of course, we don't meet them. :) So after standing out in the freezing cold for like 5 hours, they finally let us in the venue at about 8.

So NY Loose go on first... they were OK... definitley *nothing* like Manson in a musical sense, although they did get a pretty good reception here. So finally, Manson comes on. Now I've seen them a number of times before this, but none of the shows I had *ever* seen came even close to this one! It was *so* fuckin intense!!! They played the whole set without complication and it was just incredible. The biggest highlight:

-ACS (the song) Yes!!!! The suit! The podium! The bible-ripping! This is definitely the coolest part of their current set. It was during this song where for the first time I can definitely say that the Rev seems to have some kind of control over the audience. The audience chanting is unreal, and even disturbing in a way.

Dead Soul and everyone else I was with agreed that was the best part. Of course, some things about the concert really bothered me too, like why there was a bigger mosh pit during Sweet Dreams then The Reflecting God or 1996?!? It's really annoying when people only react to the popular songs. (although it was hilarious when Manson said "Now that we've catered to our top 40 audience..." right after SD before Hate Anthem)

So after the most intense 90 minutes of my life the show was over, and Dead and I head over to dfx, who thought he may be able to get us passes for the aftershow party. Of course, as it turns out, he only has one for Dead who talked to him before, so in order to get in, I had to walk directly behind dfx and NillaIce through like 5 security people. By some miracle, not a single one noticed me, and I got in!!! Woo-hoo!!!! There were only about 30 people there, so we were going to get some actual band interaction!!! Yes!!!

Twiggy came first. We talked to him for a few minutes and took some pictures. He was really nice. Unfortunately, around this time we heard news that Marilyn had gotten into a fight with a bouncer and was in a lot of pain and a really shitty mood. This didn't exactly get our hopes up...

But then about 10 minutes later Marilyn walks in. He's nursing his right hand a little, and I'm pretty sure that was as a result of the bouncer. He immediately starts talking to some friends in a corner, so we don't have much of a choice but to leave him alone for now...

But then in walks Zim Zum!!! We rush over and talk to him. I noticed a bunch of people posted about how cool he is, and i just wanted to say that you're all very right. He was *really* nice to us! We had a trillion questions, and he answered them all cheerfully. It turns out that he actually played on quite a bit of ACS. (sorry if this has been brought up before, I've been mass-deleting lately.) He said he played almost *all* the guitar on Irresponsible Hate Anthem, and contributed quite a lot to some of the other tracks as well. Just out of curiosity, I asked him how much sleep he was getting, after remembering the loss of Daisy. He said that he usually only got about 2 hours at the most, and spent days at a time without sleep during the recording of ACS. Ouch. So then Twiggy walks over, and Dead and I each get some very nice pictures with Twiggy and Zim. Very cool. Zim also told us that he's crazy about 80's glam metal! He said that his main influences ae Motley Crue and Poison and stuff. :)

Next up is Pogo. Surprisingly, he actually doesn't seem to be on that many drugs tonight, although he probably is. We asked him a bunch of questions about the numerology on ACS, and although he did explain it, I still don't understand what the hell he was talking about. :) I asked him why he cut his hair too. He said it was growing in in all different colours or something like that, so he shaved it off. He said he's going to try to grow it back like some guy in Iron Maiden. :) So anyway, we took lots of pictures with him. (Dead even took a picture of his legs for Sara!)

We spot Ginger next, and head over to talk to him. He was really cool as well. He explained the credit/picture dillemma on ACS. It turns out that Ginger recorded *all* his stuff for ACS before the rest of the band did, and then headed off for Las Vegas while the rest of the band recorded the album. Initially, *all* the pictures on ACS were supposed to be of Manson, but then Twiggy and Pogo bitched about not getting any, so he put their pics in as well... Ginger, of course, was in Vegas at this point, so he never got his pic in there. At any rate, he was really nice, and we got some nice pics with him as well.

Well, we both knew that meeting Marilyn would make the night complete, so we patiently waited while he talked with some friends he knew or something. Finally he gets up. We ask for some pictures, and he says sure, so we take some pics with him. It looks like a bunch of people are trying to talk to him, so we say goodbye and make our way outside. But then, as we're leaving the club, he's suddenly right there walking beside us!!! He asks us what we thought of the show, and we told him truthfully that we loved it, and thanked him for the incrdedible performance. He smiled, said thanks, and shook our hands. He shook with his left hand, so I think he must have really hurt his right one. We said goodbye once more and left.

Well, that's about all I can think of right now. Sorry if this is a bit long, but considering how little I post, I think you can put up with it. :) Bye...
