NY Loose, which everyone else despised, I thought wz at least decent if not amazing in any way at all. THe guitar player wz real nice tho. Anyway, Im on the barricade B4 Manson even makes their appearance. As soon as the lights go down The "We Hate LOve We Love HAte" chant starts w/no help from the band cuz they arent on stage yet. IN each break I yelled "SHEEP" sionce taht wz opinion ov everyone following mob mentality. Anyway, they walked out and the abnd kicked right into Angel w/the Scabbed Wings..dont think he said anything anyway. Then came GYG w/usual preamble. NExt came Dogma, which Zim Zum fukked up horibly *he did the same when he butchered Lunchbox* He wz playin the fast part off key and it jes sounded bad, not 2 mention that the guitar wasnt loud enuff anyway. Then came Dried Up Tied Up Dead 2 The World which kicked some ass live! Manson seemed slightly more competent, meaning he could hold a power chord, altho he jes barred everything anyway. IM not exactly sure how the rest ov the show went but Ill write the songs then mention lil things about various ones and lil things that happened. Lunchbox *later I think*
Irresponsible HAte Anthem, Tourniquet, Little Horn, 1996 *near the end*, Reflecting God *possibly right B4 1996* Sweet Dreams, Minute of Decay, Cryptorchid/ACS/The Beautiful People were played in a row I know. Now fr some details. Fr anyone that ahsnt seen this leg ov the tour yet, they're still rather impressive live, altho Zim ZUm has less stage presence *if thats possible* than Daiz did. Like I said he also played badly on some songs in my opinion. Twig sat down fr Minute of Decay and played right in front ov us. I wz on the left side ov the stage os had no decent view ov MAdonna or ZZ really. The cube is back this tour and it wz blockin the guitar from my view. Anyway, MAnson did his usual trix w/the light on SD, he used sumthin new according 2 SAra on TBP..he had a hand-spotlight, not like the SD light..more like a big ass flashlight. He flipped out a coupla times and once he destroyed the mike stand on his amp bending the pole and sapping off the bottom. He also knocked Twigs top amp over..that may have all been right at the end. Heres sumthin new tho..Twig trashed the white bass!!! I knew it wz THE whgite one b/c ov all the chips and no knobs, but it cut out on some song and he went off 2 get teh black one.. he wz gone most ov the rest ov the song and he stepped back on only 2 find the black didnt work either..he stalked off and snagged the white bass and took a few good swings which tore it 2 shreds! The body split into 2 pieces tho splintersd hit me in the face. He threw the bottom half at the security manager and the top half ended up 3 inches from my hand altho I missed the snag and the manager grabbed it up. Damn, woulda made a neat souvenier. ;)
Anyway, after the show they were still lookin fr one ov the pickups so if the white bass reappears and has duct tape or looks previously broken it wz. *grin* Zim Zum looked the part ov the full Goth this eve w/his leather shorts, fishnets and boots and that hair, which he fixed once or twice during the show inbetween songs. The drum set actually allows U 2 C Ginger this tour he isnt hidden bi a bunch ov toms...mebbe he should rebuild the old set so Manson cant catch him w/anymore mikestands. Anyway MAdonna wz himself which about says it all. The crowning achievement ov the show fr them wz definitely the Cryptorchid/ACS/TBP section where snow fell during Crypt, the stage went black and the roadies moved a huge podium onstage. The podium wz all black w/the shock symbol on it. The backdrop wz 2 shock symbols on a field ov black w/a red stripe down the center. Manson wz dressed in the suit he wears in the CD case and had the polite official smile when he blew kisses at the end ov ACS...the rest ov the band ahd snow still falling and were wearing helmets like they were soldiers. After that the podium wz taken away and TBP started along w/the big light. During the "old fashioned fascism will take it away line" he waved his hand toward the backdrop, which I thought wz semi amusing. Overall it wz a good show altho no encore..guess theyd trashed 2 much and Twig had appeared almost in tears after he trashed his bass.
