Sunday - drove to Charlotte, met up with MMSlavegrl & took angelynx to Kinko's to copy more DM&G covers - I slept in car & missed hearing the pastor give her the grilling on religion - DARN! Then we headed to the Grady Cole Center & I met up with my friend Chris & his friend Brian (local rep of the CoS). This crowd was REALLY rowdy - they were pushing and shoving to get in the venue when the doors opened & I could tell that trouble was brewing so I decided to sit out the front row & headed instead to the balcony with all the rest of my friends (save Chris who felt a burning desire to be in the middle of the pit).

The show started off great but as they started Cryptorchid something went wrong (somebody suggested the backing tape was miscued?) & Manson thru a hissy fit & stopped it & the crew stopped the snow. They regrouped & did The Reflecting God & stormed off the stage while the crowd sat there stunned & waited for their return - all 3,000 in the sold out arena were convinced that it was an intermission & refused to believe it was over until the lights came on & an announcement was made that Twiggy had cut his hand and the show was cancelled. They didn't buy that at ALL & all started chanting "BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT" & for a minute I was REALLY scared & afraid that a riot was going to break out, but security escorted folks out & eventually everyone got the clue & left & ended up waiting an hour or so in the cold outside for Sara Lee as we couldn't leave without her - ended up going to find a motel while we all waited. I dare say most of the folks that night wouldn't waste their $ on another Manson ticket as they felt royally cheated .

I can't say I blame them. Manson isn't just some unknown little band anymore playing for a couplea bucks in a backwater club. With all the effort they've put into their production for this tour don'tcha think they could have gotten a more PROFESSIONAL attitude to go with it??? I felt let down & cheated that out of 6 chances I never got to see a complete show on any given night & never once got to see what has been described to me as the most moving part of their show. I feel even worse for the kids in Charlotte to whom this was their only chance and I wouldn't blame them at all if they decide MM are just assholes who don't give a shit about their fans & dismiss them utterly.
Hope the other shows go better for those of ya yet to see them.
