ok here goes. i had the absolute best night of my life on jan 3. it was my first mm show ever! ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< we got there about 7:30 . the line to get in this place was huge.. it went all the way out to the street ( the concert hall was a converted former builders square store. it is a very cool place and i want to go to more shows there.)
the show was supposed to start at 8 o clock. slowly we were let in had to pass through like mucho police and security. stood around for awhile and found bathrooms and place where they were selling shirts....( i bought this really cool necklace with the shock symbol on it! ).then we drifted towards the front left side of the stage...lights dimmed and wham! some chick (i don't know who ) started singing! everybody was surprised cause no opener had been announced. well whoever it was actually kind of sucked they played about 50 minutes . her voice was really whiny..like you couldn't listen to it for long without getting annoyed. my opinion is they would sound better if they had a better singer (she resembled gwen from no doubt ) . ok well we listened to that in a kind of mock enjoyment and you knew everybody was really dying to see the rev and crew...
we had to wait for a pop change and stage to get set up until like 9:05 then the lights dimmed and the rev did the (i suppose) traditional thing on this tour.. he came out of the wings with his arms out and head back....reall cool. he crept up to the stage and started whispering the angel with the scabbed wings.. i was in HEAVEN! it was great...after that they played get your gunn! i have been wanting to see that song live for sooo long it was like a dream come true! the words still ring in my head! GODDAMN!.....ok i'm not going to do this whole review song by song cause i don't remember the exact set list....
the whole show the crowd was really great! everybody was soo involved and (big surprise) really nice! everybody was nice nobody was a jerk to anybody i know of all night! it was sooo cool especially for being near the pit or in the pit most of the show....
ok back to show...he broke a beer bottle ( pretty big one ) on his chest about halfway (ouchh! ) it looked cool. i loved the part he did with the little handheld light when he wore a suit! the only thing i was disappointed in was that the crowd didn't know the words to lunchbox or dogma when they were played ( he tried to get some people up front to sing by putting microphone right down there....) also they played cake and sodomy! i didn't expect this! i loved it! umm.....he ripped up the bible while on the podium... (podium was very cool i like it i like it ) pretty much all i have to say about the concert is that it had to be the best concert i will ever go to! i would love and pay dearly to see them again!.. oh and my one complaint ! they only played about an hour and 10 minutes! it was way to short! other than that ...no complaints or regrets!
