okay, um, i wrote the review fer my newspaper...it was pretty
interesting. then the editor tells me 400 words or less.
Cincinnati -
The doors open, Hanzel und Gretyl perform, then it's time for Manson.
They're all basically wearing what they were wearing the night before.
I'm in the front row, right in front of the guitarist, Daisy and the
cube. They go into "Organ Grinder", and Mr. Manson comes over to the cube
and I look over at him. Then the Rev. stops singing, and throws down the
microphone, picks up the microphone stand and starts bashing it into the
floor. So then he picks up the microphone and continues singing and I go
back to watching Daisy play. Seconds later, the Rev. throws another fit.
Then they went into "Snake Eyes and Sissies". The Rev. throws yet another
fit. So he picks up the mike and comes back to the cube. Wahoo! Right at
my favorite part.
The song "Down in the Park" was next. It's always quite fun to watch Mr.
Manson attempt to play guitar. More songs and they get to "My Monkey".
Mr. Manson goes crazy with this one. So then he crouches down on the cube
and leans towards me and starts singing.
Then Mr. Manson gets off the cube and tries to play MadonnaUs keyboard.
Then he jumped on the bass drum, then walked over to the speakers and
climbed on them. Then Mr. Manson slipped between Twiggy and his bass and
tried playing bass while Twiggy still had a good grip on it.. So Twiggy
gives the bass to Mr. Manson and picked up one of the mannequins on stage
and walked in back of Mr. Manson holding it. I was certain that Twiggy
was going to whack him with it. But the "Don't you even try that with
me" look Daisy had on his face during the whole episode was
unforgettable.
"LunchboxS was next. Set ends and they come out for an encore. They go
into "Sweet Dreams (are made of these)" So Mr. Manson comes over to the
cube and looks at me while he's singing and I'm singing along with my
alternative lyrics of "Sweet dreams are made of Me." and he stopped
singing, looked at me with this like, "Oh my god, why didn't I think of
that?" and started pounding his head with the microphone. He continued to
stare at me like that until the end of the song and then they did "Misery
Machine". End of concert.
