I have to say that whoever runs the Birch Hill Nite Club is a total jack off
because snow and freezing rain was falling down on our heads and not only did
they not open the doors on time (I've never gone to a place where they didn't
let us in before the time the door were posted to open on the tickets) they
opened the doors almost a half hour late. I thought my toes where going to
fall off inside of my boots. A couple of people tried to start a fire by
putting a lighter to some twigs and a bible but I don't think they wouldn't
have been so cold had they not been wearing only t-shirts. Then when we got
in, they made us sit through 4 albums worth of fucking music (yes, FOUR!)
before the Lunachicks came out. The show was good, though, but it was too
loud for such a small place. The music was all distorted. I'm glad too for
all the tackle football and "Kill the man with the ball" when I was younger
because some people seem to go to the shows just to fucking push people
around (these "tough men" and those who insist on dancing with lit cigarettes
are the worst). I don't know. It was a good show. I was glad to be able to
see them one more time. I really like city shows though better than ones in
out of the way places like the Birch Hill or Red Bank. Shows like those at
Irving Plaza, etc. seem to bring in a better crowd and less extremely
over-zealous high school types (no offense to those of you who are still in
high school ... I was one of you three years ago ... but I think you know the
types I'm talking about). Anyway, I thought I'd just tell you all about the
Birch Hill show ...

P.S. -- For their own sake, girls wearing microminiskirts and skin tight
halter tops should not crowd surf in a crowd full of drunk boys ...
