OK, I realize this review is a bit late, but after the show I spent the
weekend at my friends in N.H.
The show was fucking fabulous. A very highly emotional one. The crowd
was a bit on the rough side. (like the guy who thought holding onto my
rib was a great way to stay in place.)
before the show I was waiting with JPyers and Jester on line. (Hey,
Janet, DEW!!!) It was decided that I was Satan...don't ask...I don't
know how it came about, but I'm SATAN!!! (at least I now have an
identity, haha) I got to meet Silverdark, (and I believe her boyfriend
but I can't remember his name) because Silverdark was wearing DarkOne's
list shirt (power to list shirts) She rocked. :) (And silverdark is
female for all those who may be confused)
Got together with my friends Allizon, Jeannette, Ckath-E, Kristen, and
Sonny...some of you may remember Allizon and Jeannette from Dayton and
Wheeling, and Kristen and Sonny from Wheeling. Carrie, I missed
you!!!! And damn we had no p-coms! :( EVB, I hope I hope I hope you're
doing better.
OK, on to the show....
I was back up front on Twiggy's side. (my spot damnit!!! I will not
stand in front of Manson anymore) L7 was good that night, but I really
just wanted to see Manson. Most of the time I want to see the openers
too, but for some reason I just didn't care about anything but Manson
this one evening. Just a vibe, I guess.
Usual announcement about not throwing stuff...smoke fills the stage and
pours out over the crowd...natives getting very restless now...ppl
chanting Manson...me and Ckath-E holding the barrier for dear
life...notes...Angel with the Scabbed Wings...and the crowd bursts. The
energy was high and flowing.
Manson very into it...Twiggy jumping around everywhere..Pogo pacing back
and forth, Manson is a ball of energy unleased...Zimmy rocking out, but
staying kinda put at the same time...Ginger just letting loose on the
drums.
Usual set list...no problems so far,...YES!!! Twiggy looks absolutely
beautiful with his new hair cut. I loved it. You can see those big
watery brown eyes so much better now. :)
Crowd is still brutal, but I wasn't noticing till after the show when I
could feel how badly smushed I was...
Tourniquet! what can I say...it was so full of emotions and power. I
was in tears yet again. It ripped thru me. One of the best
performances of it IMHO.
I still love the change from Cryptorchid to ACS. I have yet to tire of
it. It seems so fresh each show. (I caught some bible pages this time
too :) Things are still going well. Twiggy was hyper as hyper could
be...jumping around, kicking the bass, just kicking, little dances and
faces for each song.
There were protester outside, so we got the *you are in church
motherfuckers* line. They played deformography. It rocked. They
left the stage, came back for encores...IHA. Fucking terrific. Then
Mr. Manson crashed the drums with mic stand. ARRRR!! I'm thinking that
this was it. but no, the roadies came out and put the drums back
together as best they could and the mic stand with flowers appeared...
They all come back out for Man That You Fear. Absolutely incredible.
Highly emotional...I can't explain what I was feeling...I just cried
thru it...I had to stop looking at Mr. Manson. I just couldn't take it
anymore. After the song was over, the during the *when all of your
wishes are granted...* part, everyone but Twiggy left the stage. Twiggy
knocked over his amp/cabinet, put the bass down on top of it and then
curled himself up really really small on top, just hugging the bass. He
then finally got up and left the stage too.
I just turned around on the barrier and slid down and cried for a bit.
John then came over and gave me an aftershow pass and water. Asked if I
was Ok and whatnot. I said I wasn't physically hurt so I was ok. He
said he understood.
The aftershow was good...All the guys except Mr. Manson were there.
Twiggy kinda kept to himself but I did get to talk to him for a bit. He
seems kinda down. and Pogo sat down on the floor with me for half and
hour talking with me. (it was weird, fun, but weird) and I got to talk
to Zimmy for a bit. (well, more like Zimmy talked and I listened...we
all know how zimmy can talk :) Zim said he thinks they'll be in
Wisconsin around April 3rd. DarkOne...HooDoo....I expect a full
review!! And Zim is still talking about the Dayton shirt. DarkOne,
you've outdone yourself this time. :)
UGH!! Skank girl was at the show, and managed to use an old pass to get
backstage. I HATE HER!!! She kept talking to me. I kept walking away,
and she kept coming back...I wanted to kill her. I didn't tho. (You
can't just go around killing ppl...You have to torture them first. And
I didn't have time for torture. hehe) Seriously tho, I just do not
like her. She was still trying to convince me that she didn't take
Kelli's money. (very guilty consience, heh)
And there were these two girls who couldn't have been older than 14 at
the most. Both of them had on these mini-dresses, but they turned down
the tops of them so it was like a bra and skirt deal. The one asked me
if I thought Manson would be coming back and I said I doubted it, and
then the girl said (and I quote) "I just want to touch his dick".
UGH!!! What's wrong with shaking his hand and saying great show?!! I
just rolled my eyes at her and walked away very disgusted.
But aside from Skank Girl and the mini-dress girls the aftershow crowd
was pretty OK...talked to this guy Tommy that I've met at other shows.
He had this stuffed monkey that the guys signed for his kid and Zimmy
brought it to Mr. Manson to sign and then brought it back to Tommy and
Tommy's wife (I don't remember her name, Damn...she's cool too) and of
course, Ckath-E and Kristen and Sonny were there. So all in all it was
good.
John finally came and rounded up the guys and me and my friends left.
It was a great show. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Can't wait
for April....gotta see more Manson shows :)
