Me and my friends must have arrived at the RPI Fieldhouse around 1:30
or so and found about 2 people there siting in the parking lot so we
decided to go out and get a hotel and then go get on line. I was
planning on recording the show and had my recorder with me but when I
talked to the security guards befor the show they said there would be
very tight security and they WOULD be using metal detectors. While
waiting on line we got to hear the sound check which if I remember
correctly was Deformography, The Reflecting God, and Man That You
Fear.If there was another song, I don't remember. The best part was
hearing the siding of the venue shake when they played The Reflecting
God. Anyway, we get let in and DON'T have to go through metal
detectors(I'm kicking myself at this point) and I must have been the
second person to sit down. I don't think I like this new sit down before
the show rule. Everybody kept edging up and all of the sudden there is a
mad dash for the rail. I ended up only getting one arm over the
rail(Which worked to my advantage later) because I wasn't paying
attention at the time. Zepp was out the before the show talking with
some lady friends sporting a nice vinyl skirt and a turquoise bra and
sone nice cuts on his stomach. After not having to much of a wait the
theme to Star Wars comes on.

L7 comes out and begin their set. They actually played a very good set.
I went in their thinking it was going to suck, but it turned out to be
very entertaining. It was their fans(who were actually in large amounts)
that were kind of annoying. But hey, who am I to say they can't have
fun. They were talking about Twiggy shaving his head and having a
military cut now. They also asked if people remembered how to do the
pogo. The bass player then replied with how the the girl with the short
hair(Sorry, I'm not familiar with their names) knew what it was like to
do Pogo. I thought that was hilarious. They had one of their roadies
come out and play this tiny toy guitar at one point. (Too bad Tiny Tim
died or he would've had a great opportunity!) Another one of the more
heavier roadies came out later with one of those machines that spread
seed or other chemicals on your lawn. He was wearing a bra and walking
back and forth several times. They finished their set and all seemed to
be going great. Lights go on, Diamond Dogs too, L7's equipments is taken
away and all final adjustments are made. And then the lights go out.

I thought that the Rev's last entrance couldn't be topped but I think this one might have. I liked how he was already standing there, arms extended, when the lights came on opposed to walking out like in past shows. Ginger's seems to be growing out his hair and had it parted in the middle hanging down.(I liked it better during the SLC era, maybe we'll get something like that again) Twiggy had shaved is head in the front giving him a rather large forehead which I thought looked great. Not beautiful, but completely amazing. Zim Zum and Pogo seemed to be in usual grab and Mr. M had on his usual except for the added white stained tank top. The backdrop fit very nicely in this arena. And then they go striaght into Angel w/... Everyone seemed to be in very into tonight. I was a little to Twiggy's left between him and Mr. M. Next, they played get your gunn which sounded fantastic. Twiggy was going nuts nad fell over a few times during that song. I wonder what he was on that night because he seemed very hyper. There was a tremendous amount of energy that night coming from the band. I was able to see Twiggy's setlist and saw that one of the songs was crossed out before Little Horn. That's the usual spot for Minute of Decay, but I'm curious as to why they would leave it out. I was anxiuos to see the Rev's little gutiar "solo" before MOD. Dried Up... and Tourniquet sounded amazing. After the end of Tourniquet with Mr. M adding the "You never ever believed in me" was very emotional. It seemed very powerful being that it was only him without music. Then the beginning of Little Horn was where the trouble started. The sound cut out just as they started to play. The Rev threw the mic and ran off the stage to Zims side with the look like he was intending to kill someone. They come back on and play a very powerful version which was where my highlight of the show was. Mr. Manson spit this huge wad of spit that just happened to land on my cheek. Call me digusting or whatever, but out of intense curiousity I had to taste it. It didn't really taste too good(I wasn't expecting it too). I thought of it like a little gift which I later got to repay. Then Cryptorchid starts and the snow is falling and everything is going accoprding to plan. But just as Mr. M was running off stage to change into his suit and the podium was set, everything cut out. They're was an announcement about them having technical dificulties. After hearing everybody yell the guy said "fuck you, leave or wait" I was afraid a this point that the show would be coming to an end and that the lights would be on any second. But, we heard the speakers come back on and the roadies were scrambling to get the podium off and to make sure everything is OK. The skip ACS and TBP and go straight into The Reflecting God which I thought was a very wise choice. Mr. M came out like a madman and in my opinion, they played the best take on that song I have ever heard. He replaced the "Scar can you fell my power..." part with "shoot, shoot, shoot motherfucker each time. After all, what does not kill them makes them play fucking great. Oh, and the new American flag banner with the stars replaced with the big shock symbol really adds to the effect. Mr. M was sulluting every so often during TRG which was a very nice touch. No pause for encore this show and they went straight into Hate Anthem. In the middle of IHA he said something like "come on fuckers spit" onto which many, including myself, showered him with spit. Hey, I had to get him back. This like every song that night sounded great. And unfortunately last, but not least 1996. This rivals with Misery Machine for best ending. I understand how they used to have 1996 at the end of the set then, MM at the end of the first encore. The usual mic stand smashing with a lot more energy this effort. He smashed it on the drums a few times doing little damage. Ginger continued to play always keeping an eye on the Rev. and his deadly mic stand. I don't think he took his eye off of it for a second. The drums start to move out of place with some more hits when Ginger decided to knock them over himself. He kicked over the bass drum and the toms and when he picked up the high hat I thogu he was going to throw it into the crowd but he threw it at the drums. This meant the end had come and that even though the mic for Man That You Fear was set up, that would be it. The roadies didn't seem to be in the greatest moods after the show and weren't giving out anything. No setlist, drumsticks, etc. Oh well, I got a bunch of flyers for the show earlier and a promo flat. My freind ended up getting the flowers which were actually just the stems and leaves by the time the Rev was done with them. I wasn't expecting them to be out chatting after the show. There was even some guy back there yelling at anyone who would even attempt to go near the bus. My overall opinion about the RPI staff was that they were the biggest bunch of assholes. After they would take peoples cameras they would take pictures of themselves just to rub it into the kids. One guy threatened to beat up my friend if he didn't hand over his camera. He had no choice but to give it up. They threw peoples chains, collars, etc. into the garbage when they were going in. You should have seen the people digging in there after the show coming up with handfuls of chains and whatnot. After the show was what really pissed me off. When the people from the news were there trying to interview some kids everything went to shit and I have no doubt in my mind now why people think MM fans are nothing more than a bunch of idiots. I was standing to the side of the camera just watching waiting for my freind to meet us so we could leave when a snowball went passed my head and hit what I think was the producer right in the face drawing blood. He pushed us out of the way to chase after the moron who threw the snowball. I would have loved to see the man beat that kid to death. He would have deserved every second of it. A lot of bootleg shirts that night. The drawing of Mr. M as a snake from Rolling Stone and the Cover of RS to name a few. It's horrible seeing how people can be such idiots. Other than that, and the techinical problems, the show was amazing.

On the left I've listed the setlist and the right is what the actually played.

Angel w/ the scabbed wings Angel w/ the scabbed wings Get Your Gunn Get Your Gunn Dogma Dogma Dried Up... Dried Up... Tourniquet Tourniquet Lunchbox Lunchbox Sweet Dreams Sweet Dreams Cake and Sodomy Cake and Sodomy XXXXXXXXXXXX <---(crossed out song) Little Horn Little Horn Cryptorchid Cryptorchid The Reflecting God Antichrist Superstar Irresponsible Hate Anthem The Beautiful People 1996 The Reflecting God Irresponsible Hate Anthem 1996 Misery Machine Man That Your Fear I think that is correct. I like the switching of IHA and cake and sodomy and the slight change in encore. The enrangements of songs only get better. Later when we went back to the hotel we spent a few hours making up stories just to confuse the hell out of these girls that were staying a few rooms down. The whole night was definitely a good one.
