The Dec. 31 show in Ft worth at Will Rogers' was not quite what i was
hoping for. The band did pretty good, but the audience was not into it. For a
show that was supposed to be "sold out", it sure looked only half full to me.
I must admit that i was disapointed in the band's lack of wild stage antics,
but i guess they left that behind with Portrait & SLC. They had good stage
props (loved the podium, snow, etc!!) But they just werent as into it as i
thought they would or should have been, especially on New Year's eve i
thought they would have done maybe a little extra to *celebrate*. There was
no vulgarness, i could have brought my parents to this concert. But I am not
blaming this all on manson, I was mostly disapointed in the audience. I have
ever been to a concert where people are actually SITTING. there were almost
whole sections sitting down at times. The people right in front of the stage
were having a good time, but there still wasnt really even a pit. I think if
we had been in a smaller place there would have been more energy , but when
you're all spread out it's kind of hard to feel the energy. Mr Manson attempted
to lead the crowd in "We hate love, we love hate" but there was little
response. Little audience participation. If I was Mr manson I wouldnt have felt
like going all out then either after the lack of response he was getting.
Maybe he just said "fuck it then...nevermind" I dont think its just that i
had too high of expectations, because i have bootleg concerts that were
better than this. But they still did a good job, it just could have been
better. and maybe a little longer. Oh well it's not their fault.
