Surprisingly enough, there were no protestors outside. Also, the sound check was kind of late, so the audience didn't get into the International Ballroom until almost 7:00pm. I was up against the barrier throughout Helmet and Rasputina's performances-- the audience was harassing Paige Hamilton, who kicked the speakers into the barrier and threw a security guard off the stage. Rasputina was booed, and the lead singer responded to the chants for Manson with: "You're going to be waiting another one and a half for something that's not going to happen." People were flicking cigarettes and rubber bands at them-- they didn't look happy.

Up until the third song-- I think it was get your gunn, I was still against the barrier, but some guys pulled me out of the pit when some girl almost strangled me. I was pretty close the rest of the time-- Manson got on the stilts for "Kinderfeld" and wiped his ass with the American flag during "Irresponsible Hate Anthem." The red white and blue strobe lights during IHA were incredible. They performed the extended Tourniquet, which was very intense, and Zim and Twiggy were a lot more active than I've seen them in the past. Manson said "We've been in the Bible Belt for the last week or so, and everyone keeps telling me I need to get saved to go to heaven, but why would I want to go to Heaven with all those assholes?" Other quotes included:

"we will no longer be oppressed by the fascism of Christianity; we will no longer be oppressed by the police state mentality."
