Welp, I went... Normal Illinois. A nice hour drive from my school town of Champaign. I have to say this was the best Marilyn Manson show I've seen in terms of stage stuff, though it was very.. "businesslike"... planned.

Anyway, here's the setlist that was already given, with slight modification/notes:

Angel w/Scabbed Wings - opener, manson comes out on this cool stair setup, stained glass in background with jesus on it.
Get Your Gunn - one of only 3 songs off of portrait (frown).. nothing special done for this one. oh wait I forgot, cool strobes for chorus...
Cake / Sodomy - again nothing special done here, cool light show though
Dried Up, Tied Up, and Dead to the World - seemed to me slightly different from the album version, some funkyweird samples thrown in there.
Tourniquet - nothing memorable 'cept he wrapped the mic cord around his arm (a'la tourniquet) real tight.. big deal -- well performed though... Twiggy started drooling a lot from this point on.. and making long periods of eye contact with the crowd...
- 1 minute pause or so (setting up for Kinderfeld) -
Kinderfeld - you heard it right -- STILTS.. stilts and big crutch-like canes.. manson moves like a dying spider all over the stage, leaned forward and using the crutches to make it like he's on 4 legs... REALLY cool looking.. very dark scene, lots of smoke, dim lighting on manson for the first half of the song (no lights on the rest of the band members for a good part of it.. poor kidz)
Lunchbox - what I was waiting for, and one of the best performances of Lunchbox I've ever seen live (in my 5 or 6 times seeing manson performances) Really driven, zim zum did a cool job on the guitars adding a little live funk to it... I liked it a lot.
Sweet Dreams - bah. that's all I have to say. been there, done that.
Suck For Your Solution - I loved this live, I wish I knew all the words, but I knew a lot of them anyway.. it was really cool, and amusing to see all the posers baffled at "what the hell is this song?".. kinda silly.
Little Horn - at this point manson seems mad, I think -- THINK -- correct me if I'm wrong, that this was the song where manson broke a wine bottle and scraped it against his chest -- relax kiddies, it was surely stage glass considering the glass was breaking he was scraping so hard on his chest (and not a mark was to be seen on his chest in the place he was scraping)
Apple of Sodom - yes, the cool snow, just soap bubbles, but it was neato being right in front and seeing everyone covered with it :) Another excellent song.
------------ break
Antichrist Superstar - manson comes out in a rev suit w/red shirt, just like the first leg of this tour, doin' his preachin' and stuff.. you already saw the quotes of what he said -- "there's people out there PRAYING for you..." "there's a lotta people who don't want you to be here tonight.. I'm proud of you motherfuckers for comin' out" -- etc etc
Beautiful People - yeah yeah yeah, all the preps and posers have heard it on the radio, so the crowd started being dicks and pushing all to the front and being retarded... I still enjoyed hearing it though...
The Reflecting God - nothing amazingly memorable, but it was a good song to hear life as well.
------- Break
Irresponsible Hate Anthem - american flag with ACS Bolt logo instead of stars in the corner makes up the background set -- realllly cool looking. Manson comes out wearing an american flag around him like a skirt. Good performance as well.
1996 - you all know this one.. blah blah blah -- they ended it the way they ended the promo (instead of "when all of your wishes ..." it was "you might as well kill yourself, you're already dead"...)
-------- small break
Man that you fear - snow again, nice performance... lilies brought out on the new mic stand .. manson comes out covered in (stage) blood, and tries to make all the kiddies cry and squeal .. whee. Great performance.
After the show I got Twiggy's setlist and bass pick too. The bass pick kicks ass, it's purple and says "TWIG" on one side, and has an ACS Bolt logo on the other. I like I like :)
Something interesting is that on the setlist it said they were to play Rock 'n Roll Nigger after 1996 -- they neglected to play Rock 'n Roll Nigger, however -- maybe manson didn't like the crowd, maybe it was time constraints, but I have it right here on my setlist -- they were s'pose to play it.
Other stuff that happened - manson had ppl spitting on him constantly, etc etc, nothing real new.
New York Loose - if you have never seen them, don't bother, I don't care for them too much... they were "ok" I s'pose.
That's it for now kiddies,
Steve
