I was standing front row, center, 5 feet between Marilyn Manson and I. I was spit on numerous times, and despite you getting to see lesbian pussy which is always cool, pussy will always be there and Marilyn wont. It was the first time I had ever seen them live and it was better than any orgasm {or lesbian pussy for that matter}. I have been a Manson fan for about 3 years now and I was extremely pumped for this show. Even after the 8 hour drive it took to get there. And the 3 hour wait in line. I was the 3rd person in once they began letting people into the Tabernacle. Once I was in I made a mad dash to the front row and secured my center spot. The show actually came on early which surprised me, but none too pleasantly as 12 Rounds, the opening act, came out and stunk up the entire Tabernacle. 12 Rounds is extremely bad, never ever buy their CD, or go see them live, they sound like some loser band like Southern Culture on The Skids or something. Anyway, after their horrible set which had everyone near me all but slicing their wrists trying to escape the brain virus which was 12 Rounds music, everyone began the push. From back to front the push was incredible, most hung in there and then after bout 30 minutes of endless screaming and waiting for Marilyn, the lights went out and BANG!! "This isn't me, Im not mechanical" blasted over the loud speaker. Everyone went nuts as Twiggy walked out and readied himself, Followed by John5. Then the lights shined on the white curtain shielding the crowd's eyes from what waited behind and the entire crowd blasted into applause as Manson's shadow could be seen behind the white curtain. And just like that Ginger started a poundin' and the curtain dropped and there was Marilyn in all his mechanical glory, adorned with a huge turquoise Omega scarf draped over his shoulders. And then the chaos began. Here is my run-through where I will correct any very small errors made by NiX, his review was excellent, but there are a few fibs in there and I will clear them for ya. Here we go!!!!

Reflecting God:
This song was awesome the first time I heard it, and has been awesome ever since. Tonight, was no different as Marilyn invoked his lyrics into the mic with incredible raging fury while hurling a couple water bottles. Spit rained from all over the arena, dousing Manson, and about everyone else. Very energetic, very fast, non-stop, one of the best pulse pounders of the night!!! The lyrics were a bit changed as NiX said with the "Shoot Shoot Shoot Motherfucker" lyric replacing "Scar, can you feel my power" and the crowd screamed the song loudly all the way through. {To correct one error here, the Omega scarf was never thrown into the crowd!}

Great Big White World:
I normally do not enjoy this track all that much but they performed it live very well. Manson's voice was incredibly on par with his recordings during the entire show and this was no different. This one is not usually so hard hitting but they made this song rock like it was "Angel With The Scabbed Wings". It left a good impression on me and ever since the show, Ive played this track quite a few times. Same lighting and setup as Reflecting God, they went right into this one pretty much after "Reflecting God".

Cake and Sodomy:
Personally, this was one of the 3 main songs I was waiting for and this one did not disappoint. The crowd was deafening as they screamed "I AM THE GOD OF FUCK" loudly with their sultan of music. By this time many of the front row was getting crushed, and many of my former neighbors were being escorted out by security. Manson did alot with the mic stand during this tune, wedging it in his ass crack quite a few times as people spit on him. As NiX said, he eventually finished with dry fucking John5, great energy behind this one, very ass-kicking!!!

Mechanical Animals:
Manson left abruptly near the end of "Sodomy" to go backstage as the rest of the band wailed away. The entire crowd expected something great here and Manson did not disappoint. After "Sodomy" finally ended, there was a fleeting moment of silence, then BANG!!! Manson came out in all his glory, borrowing heavily from his "Kinderfeld" antics on the classic stilts and had big crutches on both arms. This was an awesome performance, well played and sang by the band. Everyone was very into this one, during the "Suicide King" part he extended the crutches above the crowd, and everyone frantically tried to grab them but we were unsuccessful. Great song, well done, Hurray for Manson!!!

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)
Manson left a little early again at the end of "Mechanical Animals" and then as people contemplated what we in the front row already knew, the next song was the anthem that made Manson what they are today "Sweet Dreams"!! It was an incredible sight to see this live, on CD it has lost its flavor, but it was breathtaking to see live and in color with Marilyn Manson 5 feet away staring straight into your eyes. It sent my heart beating faster than any car could pull off. It was hard hitting and by this time, most of the people who were going to leave the quarantine that was the front row had left due to the fury and chaos that this song brought about!! Great job by Manson, Gacy was also very entertaining during this track jerking violently making his classic odd faces!! They broke into an odd heavy instrumental at the end of this leaving the crowd confused as to what was going to happen, although I was in clear view of the set list, I still had doubts about what was going to happen next.

Speed Of Pain
When Manson came back out, he was dressed in a long black trench coat and the horribly painful pushing eased up just a little bit as he came out in "Humphrey Bogart" style clothing and began what I consider to be the best song on "Animals", "The Speed of Pain". As I said, this was the first time I had ever seen them live, and this song brought a tear to my eye, and as I looked around it wasnt just me. The girl next to me was crying also, Im not sure if it was from the pain of the pushing or the song but that doesnt matter. I held it in til the end but when all the lights went off and there was only a small spotlight on Marilyn and he began to softly sing "I hope that we die holding hands, I could hold no longer. It was nothing short of glorious and extremely moving to me. Snow poured over the entire crowd and by the end everyone was convered.

Posthuman
I cant exactly recall when this was played but all I can remember about it was that the music was played a little too loud and the players in Manson kind of tended to drown each other out. Yet, it was still very cool, there was backup singing by a black gospel singer on this one.

Rock Is Dead
Manson sheds the trench coat and gothic stuff on this one and tears it up glam style wearing a tight glittery red suit with huge red feathers extending off him everywhere. Before the song began the lights went out and "And now from the drug capital of the world. Hollywood, California,...Omega and The Mechanical Animals" could be heard over the speaker. Then Manson and the crew came out and Manson was all glammed out. This song rocked hard and Manson was twitching and rocking all over. During one time during the song Manson nearly exposed his penis, driving the women in the crowd crazy!!!! This song also had a very cool plastic or glass looking Omega symbol above Manson's head throughout the song..

The Dope Show
Well done. This one was starting to wear off on me but this was an incredible performance. Not too much difference from the album version as NiX said , just the "pigs and fags" thing, and "the drugs are made in atlanta" thing. The bass was booming and for one song my attention was focused on twiggy as he jammed away hard. John5 also got into this song very much.

User Friendly
"How many of you out there are in love" manson says. The crowd responds mostly silently. Then Manson screams "How many of you out there just want to get FUCKED!!!!" and the crowd erupted as he busted into User Friendly. He changed the lyrics a bit during the song, during the chorus mostly saying "IM not in love but Im gonna fuck you, in your mouth and in your ass, Im not in love but im going to fuck you in front of your mom and your dad". That was quite an interesting twist on an incredibly cool song, probably the second best on MA. Well performed, loud, and energetic. Two Thumbs up!

LunchBox
"NEXT MOTHER FUCKER GONNA GET MY METAL", the crowd chanted as John5 busted into the only song besides Cake and Sodomy that Manson has played on every tour. Very well done, John5 played it much better than Zim Zum ever did and reminded me of Daisy's most geared up performances. Well played version of one of the Manson Family Classics..I agree with NiX on this, this one will never get old.

I Dont Like The Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)
"You know, all those Christians outside told me that I should talk to God. So I said, 'all right, I'll talk to God'. So I talked to God and God said 'Marilyn Manson, Jesus Christ made marijuana'. He said 'Marilyn Manson, Jesus Christ made cocaine', He also said 'Marilyn Manson, Jesus Christ also made L.........S........D....'. So I said 'Well God, if Jesus Christ can do these drugs, then why the fuck can't we!!!" {I had to correct the misquote} Well played by marilyn Manson but this is the one song that disappointed me. Despite the good stage show including the monstrous DRUGS sign made of hundreds of lightbulbs which was breathtaking, this song is just not Marilyn Manson to me and I have denounced it ever since about a week after the album came out. Well played, but it just did not hit the spot for me. However the next three songs really capped off the night for me.

Rock and Roll nigger
Bottom Line: The most intense song Marilyn Manson played all night. This was my second favorite song of the entire night. Although Manson was a bit tired obviously as he had the crowd sing a lot of this song. I for one loved this, my hands were flailing everywhere and I have no idea how many people I have inadvertently hurt due to that. It was awesome. One of the black techs at the show pissed Manson off during this show while he was switching Manson's microphone and Manson chucked a mic at his chest. The soundboard guy also got pissed cause Manson yelled at him and he left foor the rest of "Nigger" but luckily order was restored for the last two songs. This song was so energetic, my friend actually passed out. Luckily he was revived for ACS!

Antichrist Superstar
The only way you can truly feel this is to experience it yourself. It is truly awesome. The lights went out and when they came back on, the shock bars were there, the podium was there, but most importantly marilyn was there in all his black suited glory tearin up the bible and doing all the antics that made me love him all along. I was able to recover one of the bible pages and it was awesome. Throwing your arms in the air with Manson is just something you must experience, you almost feel like you are a part of one big family. Everyone was so together, it was really moving.

The Beautiful People
I can only say two words about this: FUCKING AWESOME!! It was incredibly energetic and it was just a sight to behold. All I have to say is that if you can catch a club show of this tour, make sure to do so. They have great shirts and memorabilia, Manson is great, Twiggy is Great, John5 is great, everyone is awesomem and the show is nothing short of orgasmic!! Marilyn is truly the absolute epitome of entertainment!! Thank you Marilyn, Thank you very much!!

Now as for things that get thrown into the crowd:
Water Bottles
Middle Fingers
Bible
Bible Pages
Huge pair of pink glasses worn during "The Dope Show"
A mic was grabbed by a person and dragged into the crowd but was returned

Songs that were supposed to be performed but werent because of Manson's pissiness: Irresponsible Hate Anthem
