We arrived at 7PM (when the doors opened), went straight to the floor, and planted ourrselves in the very center, with only one layer of people in front of us. We had to wait for what seemed an eternity for 12 Rounds to come on. They finally did...I wasn't impressed (please...someone tell that girl to keep her tongue in her mouth). They finish, lights go back up, the Wall starts playing, and everyone starts packing in...I'm miserable, and know it's only gonna get worse when MM hits the stage. The lights go down, and I was right...the crowd rushed forward, only one of my feet was on the ground, and I could barely breathe...but I didn't care - the moment we'd been waiting for had finally come.

Twiggy appeared in front of the white, glittery curtain, picked up his bass, and stood there (noone even seemed to notice). "This isn't me, I'm not mechanical." Then you see Manson's shadow behind the curtain striking quite the dramatic pose... "This isn't me, I'm not mechanical." Curtain drops, lights go up, There He Is... tight blue suit with ass cut out, matching platform boots. "You're world is an ashtray..." He breaks into Reflecting God, the lights go crazy, and the audience goes insane. Onto the rest of the show (pretty much in order):
1. Reflecting God: He spent most of this song checking out the people in the front - pointing at us, bending down, leering...awesome.
2. Great Big White World: I love this song, especially the intro. I was so happy to be so close to see all of those great facial expressions he makes.
3. Cake and Sodomy: I didn't think we could all be more squished together than we already were...wrong! Ginger was amazing, as he was for the entire show. This song was a blast, the crowd was really into the show, and I think the band could feel it.
4. Posthuman: This was incredible live. He held the mic to the audience for the "Hey! Hey! Hey!" parts. 5. Mechanical Animals: This and Speed of Pain were THE songs from the new album I was really looking forward to seeing live. He came out on the stilts, struck lots of cool poses, and gave his all. I can't even put into words how I felt when he sang my favorite verse... "You were my mechanical bride..."
6. Rock is Dead: I glanced back during this song and /everyone/ was bouncing up and down. This song was a lot of fun live, but he left it to the audience to sing the "La La La La La-La" part...something I was looking forward to seeing him do :-)
7. Speed of Pain: No light show here (it wasn't needed) - just a spotlight on Manson while he stood there in a leather trench coat and Bogart-style hat. I was simply in awe, it was just as beautiful and perfect as the CD track. He stood still in front of his mic the entire time, and it was still (in my opinion) the most intense part of the show. Snow fell down as soon as he sang "Lie to me, cry to me...", as he out-stretched his hands...amzing. Also, the back-up vocals were great.
8. Dope Show: Before this song, he introduced "Ladies and gentlemen, straight from Hollywood, California - Omega and the Mechanical Animals." He came out in the red, glittery nightie-type thing (and red thong undies) with red garters and stockings (and can't forget the matching platform boots). He also had these red, feathery, wing-type things connected to his shoulders, but those came off quickly. This was the song that began the obvious obsession he has with his ass (more on that later).
9. Lunchbox: "One time I was in Dallas they said I killed a chicken...But what they didn't know was that I'm also the one who shot JFK!" "This one's for all you in the front!" Wow. Almost /too/ much energy. Again, he left the the crowd to sing the intro... "Next motherfucker gonna get my metal..." and we did. This was really when you got to see the "older" Manson style - thrashing his head, body flailing all over the place, pounding his chest with the mic, spitting and asking to be spit on. Gold glitter shot out mid-song...very intense!
10. Mister Superstar: Lots of energy, lots of great lights, lots of mic in the undies, lots of fun.
11. User Friendly: He puts some big, gold sunglasses on, but his vision was blocked because pieces of the glitter were stuck to the lenses, so he threw them to the crowd (I had a hold of them for a second, but they quickly disappeard) "How many of you here tonight are in love?" Crowd cheers. "How many of you just wanna get /fucked/?" Crowd goes crazy. Okay, lots of ass stuff going on here...he pulls the back of his thong to the side and, well...it's Manson's asshole. Lots of stage humping, mic humping, etc. Singing girls come out toward the end of the song to do their sexy dancing thing. Fun song live.
12. Don't Like the Drugs: I'm now on the verge of passing out, so I'm not exactly sure what he said here. Something about "I was standing outside and there were some people protesting..." and something about how God or Jesus told him it was okay to smoke pot and drop acid. Don't hold me to that, but it was something to that affect.
13. Rock-N-Roll Nigger: "How many of you out there are rock-n-roll niggers?" Crowd cheers. "How many of you are /rock-n-roll niggers/!?!?" Crowd roars. The crowd was really into this one. I've decided I like John5. He didn't do anything spectacular, but he seeemed to be enjoying himself, and did a great job.
14. Antichrist Superstar: Podium, shock logo banner, black suit/red shirt, bible tearing, etc. This was a blast, and I was really impressed with the crowd on this one, too.
15. Beautiful People: Off with the jacket, shirt, and pants...now in the outfit he wore at the VMA for this song. "I have one last question for all of you tonight... How does it feel to be one of the.../beautiful people/!" I don't need to go into details about how crazy everyone went for this one. God, I love Twiggy - he was jumping up and down for this one, slobber flying all over the place. And Pogo was being his usual, deranged self. After his last verse, Manson threw the mic into crowd and walked off the stage.

This was a wonderful show. There weren't any technical problems (that I noticed anyway) like what I've heard had happened at a couple of the previous shows. I know the band feeds off the audience...they give what they get...so I was soooo happy that the crowd was really into the entire show. Again, Mechanical Animals and Speed of Pain were the highlights for me, but entire show was so full of energy and seemed to unravel perfectly. A night I will never, ever forget.
