Although this was not my first Marilyn Manson concert, I have to say that the shows are getting better and better! The opening act was not performed by Rob Zombie, as he only will start touring with Manson in Spain, but by Moonspell, a goth/metal band that was invited to perform by the Reverend himself. After a short break betweeun the bands, the lights went out, strange noises came from the back of a white cloth. The shadows of John5 and Twiggy begin to appear from the darkness and, when everybody less expected, the cloth falls, curiosity and anxiety got bigger.... From the smoke, a very well-known figure arises: Mr. Manson, the God. Wearing a very simular suit from the one shown in the MTV awards, the band began its show with the powerful "Reflecting God". The erotic posures, the well performed act and the slashing of microphones were a constant during the show, which could be divided into three specific parts. First part: Mechanical animals. Wearing his blue suit, Manson performed "Reflecting God", followed by the wonderful "Cake and Sodomy", in which Manson threatned to show his private parts, "Great Big White World", extremely well played by John5, who performed at his best, "Posthuman", the classic "Sweet Dreams", and one of the most interesting songs, "The Speed Of Pain", which introduced us to a darker Manson, dressed up with a black and long coat, and reminding us of the old Manson days. Once again, John5 and his acustic guitar was at his best. Second part: Omega and the Mechanical Animals. Apearing now with a suit that reminded a red little angel with feathers, the diabolic angel entered a sensual and provocative act, singing "User Friendly", "Rock is Dead", "Dope Show", "Mechanical Animals", and the spectacular "I Don''t Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me), which deserved a special moment for a little refection on drugs. Manson revealed his "conversation" with Jesus, ending his speach with the magnificient phrase "If Jesus Christ can do drugs, then why the fuck can't we?". At this point, began the song refering to this specific subject. Third part: Antichrist Superstar. Containing songs like Rock'n'Roll Nigger, Marilyn Manson showed his "violent" side. "Antichrist Superstar" was one of the high moments of the night, with the tearing of the bible. The show ended up with the well known song "Beautiful People" which had Manson and the entire crowd singing as loud as their voices would allow. To sum up, the whole show was absolutely brilliant, revealing a god and his pupils, and being almost perfect, it certainly left me and surely many other people absolutely speachless. There was only one negative aspect to which I feel I must refer: there was no encore. But the rest was...... As you see, I really have no comments at all.... By the way, the songs were not performed by the exact order as I put them.
