This was my fisrt Marylin Manson concert an I think it won't be the last one. It was superb. The first part we (fortunetly) had Moonspell performing instead of Rob Zombie as it was said in the beginig. Moonspell is metal/gothic portuguese band with lots of power that "prepared" us extremely well for the second part. Although I could only listen to 4 or 5 musics (due to some organization problems - the show started at the scheduled time so the pavilion was half empty with lots of people waiting outside), it was a great show and I recomend their sound to everyone who doesn't know them yet. Then Moonspell stopped playing with one of their best songs (Alma Matter) and the break came with Pink Floyd as the concerts in the US. The break wasn't too long and soon the lights went off and we started to hear strange noises. There was a huge cloth in the back of the stage and the the shadow of the drums appeard in that cloth. The noise stops and Mr Manson makes is first apearance wearing a blue outfit very similar to the one he used on the MTV awards just adding a strange thing around his head but as he started singing e removed it. Now the concert starts and you can forget the reviews you've read about the tour in US. The first music was also Refelcting Godbut the others we're played in different order. Can't be very precise but then it was Great Big White World, PostHuman, Sweet dreams (the rest and don't know the order) but also played Cake and Sodomy, Lunchbox, Speed of Pain, User Friendly ... the same musics they played in the US but in a different order. The concert was really great but the crowd was too cold. There were lots of empty spaces in the arena, lots of people prefered to watch the show sat in the "bench" than standing near Mr Manson. About the musics and musicians, I can't point out any special performer because they were all great and Johnny 5 really surprised me not only with his "head moving" but also with his guitar skills. Twiggy was allright but very discrete, the drums were great, the organ superb and Marilyn Manson, the master. I had read all the reviews about the concerts in the Us and I must say, Speed of pain didn't disapointed me a bit. The song was great, very emotional, everybody "entered" another dimension when it started snowing and Manson singing "Lie to me...". A music wich I was expecting to much was PostHuman, but, in my opinion, was one of the best. To sum up, a great concert with a BIG problem. Leaving outside musics like Tourniquet and Man that you fear (i know it wasn't Dead to the world tour but they could have played them) wasn't a very good idea and finishing the show with Beatiful people wasn't either . Everybody was hyped, moshing, and sudennly the concert ends (an it was really the end because Mr Manson destroyed the drums with the microphone support- really nice to see).
