Nocticula and Kali, Hekate and Morrigu, Ereshkigal
To whom all things go



When I was initiated, twenty years ago, I spoke in trance of defense and battle,
of the holding of a great black castle against all armies and all odds.
I realized that night that the black keep was my ancestral hall, Dubhairegheal
- the "black habitation" -
the ancient home of the O'Caiomh (O'Keefe) clan on the Blackwater River in County Cork -
and that I had been Bespoken by The Morrigan, as She might have Bespoken my many-greats-grandmother in time of need.
In the years since then I have time-and-again had cause to call on the energy of the Dark One;
She has never failed to give me strength and the will to fight.
I will always praise and honor Her.
