I'm also the new manager of The Storm Hawks Fanlisting, Fly High!
"WELCOME TO ATMOS...Where high-flying,
death-defying, no-crying adventure is the order of business!
Here on Atmos, thousands of jaw-dropping, eye-popping islands of rock called Terras shoot up
from the clouds, each housing strange creatures and even weirder societies. Their only defense against an evil empire are squadrons of fearless
Sky Knights, who patrol the roadways and the skyways, shifting gears from easy rider to easy glider!
No Sky Knight squad was more legendary than the
STORM HAWKS—-but that was before the dark forces of Cyclonia put them out of commission. Now, five mismatched teens and their strange, furry sidekick
have taken their quest, their gear and their name—and will send anyone who dares try and clip their wings into a serious tailspin!
Armed with high-octane
transforming flying motorcycles, these punks are dog-fighting some of the nastiest villains ever to hit the skies. Too young to have fear (or a pilot’s
license), the new Storm Hawks are burning rubber and cracking rudders on an adventure that will take your breath away... or just make you lose your lunch!
From the tubular waves of Tropica to the snow-peaked mountains of Blizzaris, who knew a dangerous quest could be so much fun!"
It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, of course (I'm waiting to see the farming Terra, myself), but hey, does it have to?
--This guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet Stork. Stork is a Merb, and I'm afraid I can't say much more than that about Merbs (except that they seem to be basically
reptilian), as the series hasn't seen fit to tell us much yet.
But this particular Merb is some piece of work. He's a neurotic, agoraphobic, paranoid
techie-whiz-kid, a brilliant pilot, slightly mad inventor, and morbid little-ray-of-sunshine-not who knows every imaginable detail of everything
in known space that could ever possibly kill him.
Horrible diseases? He's an encyclopedia. Perilous places? Has the maps memorized, and I mean literally.
Dangerous monsters? Knows every stat from habitat to tooth count. Gothic high drama is this boy's middle name; he's forever predicting the team's imminent
and gruesome demise, and should cruel fate fail to strike as expected,
he's not above muttering without a whisk of irony, "O doom, why have you forsaken
me?" And yet--you can hear it just from that line--he carries himself (most of the time) with the self-possessed dignity of someone who's pretty damn
good and knows it, and you do not want to
cross him when he's in his element: the cozy confines of the Condor, the Hawks' vintage carrier
and our Merb's only true love.
---I absolutely love Stork, and I have a feeling he's gonna have miles of fangirls, which is why we're here now. =)
I'll have a lot more screen grabs and some writing of my own about the Storm Hawks cast and background soon,
Here's the complete, official Storm Hawks Press Kit!

This terrific Stork video by SaturnGrl/Silver Scar Studios, set to Green Day's "Basket Case", is worth a million words. =)
