2003-2004 costume work

Shay Canfield's "Cheyenne Ghost Warriors" diorama, a year in the planning, completed just in time for Mid-Atlantic Regionals (MAR) 2003 in Annapolis, March 15-16. Dig the third ghost horse struggling out of the ground at lower right, sculpted by Shay!

Below you see the set with its ribbon and NAN card.

The original "Cheyenne Ghost Warrior" costume done for Shay Canfield (designed for and worn by her cool Novilheiro, "CZ Chalk Bomb") that took a blue and Champ at MAR 2002. Features tiny size 18 beads, a poseable wired saddledrape, lots of white weasel fur & feathers =) and a shield design from the ancient Mogollon Ridge petroglyph site in New Mexico. Depicts Shay's idea of the spirit of an ancient ancestral warrior.

My LB Blackfoot ceremonial costume, made to sell at MAR to cover emergency vet bills. Thx from me (and Banshee) to Beth Hoffert for buying it!
Here you see it winning for her at Smoky Mountain Spring Fling, April 26-27th in NC.

Red SM costume winning a Res. CH for Janice Pletsch at Tally Ho Live, also in April.

"Black Lightning Warrior", custom for Beth Hoffert, completed Feb. 5th 2003. Thx Liz Bouras for the pix!

Tammy Breckenridge's Ceremonial also placing at Smoky Mountain--nice diorama too!
(The head shot --on a different model--was taken at Orlando Live in February; what would I do without tireless Liz B. & her magic camera? =)

(three of the top four ribbons in this class went to my work--3rd place was a Cary Nelson! Whoa! =)
