A typical example of Van Gogh's own sunflower paintings: he did a dozen like it between 1887 and 1889. This one is the 1889 Still Life: Vase with Twelve Sunflowers, now in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. They all have the same strange, tortured energy...

The actual painting by Moronobu called "Backwards Beauty" (Mikaeri Bijin). No resemblance but the name. =)
